Emily Cortright

Emily started her real estate investing journey in 2013, purchasing single-family flip and rental properties in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.  Since being introduced to multifamily investing in July 2017, Emily and Adam have invested passively in 6 multifamily properties throughout Texas and have co-sponsored 2 deals:  Cooper Park Apartments, a 180-unit apartment complex in Arlington, Texas, and Northaven Terrace, a 208-unit complex in Northwest Dallas.

As Asset Manager of Cooper Park and Northaven, Emily works closely with the construction management team and sub-contractors to oversee the execution of the exterior construction and CapEx projects.  She also works with the accounting team at Wehner Multifamily to process the Lender reimbursements after work is completed, and is responsible for the monthly investor communications.


Emily is a licensed real estate agent at Keller Williams Realty in Southlake, TX, where she is a member of the Agent Leadership Council and leads the market center's Culture Committee.  She also mentors other agents who want to learn about real estate investing.

Emily's interests in real estate investing were piqued while she was living in southern California, working for GE Aviation Systems. When the opportunity arose to relocate to Texas, Emily left the corporate world in April 2013 to pursue entrepreneurship and financial freedom through real estate investing.

Adam Roberts

Adam has recently joined Emily in July 2018 to help run their real estate business in a full-time capacity.  Prior to then, he worked in roles of increasing responsibility within the GE Aviation and Transportation businesses.  Throughout the past several years, Adam helped with property acquisition and working with home sellers, in order to meet their real estate business goals.

As an asset manager of their multifamily holdings, Adam works closely with the on-site and regional management teams within Wehner Multifamily.  He ensures budget and P&L expectations are communicated, and maintains the weekly and monthly communication rhythm with site management.


Adam's strengths include operations management and people leadership, as he delivers on the quantitative metrics that lead to a successful investment for all stakeholders.  He is a strong believer that this is a "people business", and that success of the asset hinges on the success of the on-site team.

Outside of real estate, Adam is enjoys piloting small aircraft as well as being a flight instructor.  He plays in a country music band on the weekends, and enjoys traveling to see friends and family up north.
